Here’s useful information on travel and accommodation options.
Unfortunately the room block we had reserved for our guests at Hotel Tonnara Trabia is completely SOLD OUT. If you are still in need of accommodation, this page lists some additional local options you may want to consider. We will provide shuttle service to and from the hotels if requested.
Hotel Sporting Club
Hotel Sporting Club is comparable in price and quality to Hotel Tonnara Trabia, and a 12-minute drive from our wedding venue. Set on its own private beach, it offers an outdoor pool and various entertainment programs.
Double Room is $169/€153 per night with breakfast included.

Principe Alogna Hotel & Spa
Principe Alogna Hotel & Spa is a smaller hotel, about 15 minutes away from the wedding venue. It has outdoor and indoor swimming pool, sauna and a SPA.

Hotel Le Calette, Cefalú
Hotel Le Calette, Cefalú is 40 minutes’ drive from the wedding location and 1 hour drive from the PMO airport. This is a five-star Boutique Hotel, set on a vast park, 2 km for the Cefalú City Center (a UNESCO site).

Flights
HOW TO GET THERE
The nearest airport is Palermo, Falcone-Borsellino (PMO), which is approximately a 45 minute drive from the Hotel Tonnara and the venue.
If you are traveling from outside the EU, keep in mind there will likely be no direct flights to Palermo. You’ll have to stop over in Rome, Milan or another European city (such as Munich, London or Amsterdam). We recommend looking at different flight options for best prices. Skyscanner is a good resource for this.
Please note: Often separate bookings are more convenient. Rather than booking a flight from your home airport straight to Palermo in a single booking, check flights from your home airport to Rome/Milan/London, and then do a separate search from that point to Palermo. It may require a little extra work, but it may save you a lot of money!
PASSPORTS & VISAS
If you’re coming from outside the EU, please make sure you have an updated passport.
To enter the Schengen area, the passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the date on which you intend to leave.
However our US guests should keep in mind the US government requirements that for international travel your passport should be valid at least through December 2023 (6 months).
If you do not have a passport, or if you need to renew it, make sure you start the process now.
Local Transportation
To and from the airport, you have several options to reach our venue.
TAXI AND CAR RENTAL
Taxi and rental cars will be the easiest, and Sofia (eventi@sofiagangi.it) can help you research and arrange for those based on your schedule.
PUBLIC TRANSIT
If you prefer public transportation, train is also an option (but it will take about 2 hours).
