When should we plan to arrive in Sicily? 

Wedding events will start on Friday June 23, 2023 with the Welcome Aperitivo at 8 PM. 

If you have a long trip ahead, we recommend you arrive at least the Thursday before the wedding (June 22, 2023), in order to get adjusted to the time difference and recover from your trip (and, why not, to squeeze in some beach time too and get a head start on the cannoli)! 

What is the attire for the ceremony and reception? 

Welcome drinks will be casual and near the sea. You’re more than welcome to bring a swimsuit and take a plunge (knowing Jeff, there will be for sure swimming involved). 

For the wedding ceremony, the venue is an historical castle so as a rule of thumb we recommend formal clothing (eg. suits, gowns, cocktail dresses, or dressy pants). But please, don’t stress about this: we want you to be yourself and have fun. No one will kick you out if you’re not wearing a tie. 

The really important thing for you to know is that the venue has a mix of cobblestone pavement (from the 1200s) and grass, therefore we’d recommend you keep this in mind when making your shoe selection. 

Will there be transportation provided? 

We will provide transportation to and from the venue from the Hotel Tonnara Trabia and for additional hotels if requested. Please let us know in the RSVP form where you’ll be staying and if you require transportation.

Are children invited? 

YES! We can’t wait to celebrate with all the people we love, including the kids in our life. We will also have a special children's menu to make sure they have a great time. 

That being said, we also want you to enjoy your night to the fullest, so if you prefer not to bring them, or to have them join only for a part of the evening, we are arranging child care services and entertainment for your little ones (stay tuned for more information). Please let us know in the RSVP form or via email (wedding@bettsginexi.com) if you’d like to take advantage of this option! 

Should we carry cash with us? 

We recommend you withdraw some Euros upon your arrival. While credit cards are generally accepted, a lot of smaller businesses are still cash or debit cards only, or will require a minimum amount for you to be able to pay with card. Best not to risk having to skip on gelato, right? 

What will the weather be like?

June is a quite hot month in Sicily. As a means of comparison, last year the temperature on June 24 was 90F / 35C. Please come prepared with sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray and hats. Pack for full-on summer weather, but carry a light jacket just to be safe. 

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Yes, parking will be available if you decide to bring your own vehicle. 

I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What's the best way to let you know?

Please make sure you flag that for us in the RSVP form! Rest assured there will be plenty of options for everyone. 

I can't attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

Bummer! While this makes us sad, we understand some of you won’t be able to make it to Sicily. For this reason, we are actively working to arrange a livestream of the ceremony for you to still share our special moment with us from afar. We’ll get you more information closer to the actual date!

What date should I RSVP by?

The sooner the better, but please RSVP no later than May 15, 2023. If you can’t make it, please let us know either way!
